That’s why we love local PNW tile companies that still create their products by hand. As a local small business ourselves, we love to support our fellow PNW tile enthusiasts. Plus, shopping local reduces pollution caused by transportation.
Two of our awesome partners happen to operate here in the Pacific Northwest: Encore Ceramics in Oregon and Tile Restoration Center over in Eastern Washington.
Traditional With a Twist
Encore Ceramics creates beautiful porcelain tiles, with an extensive range of formats and glazes. Encore Ceramics specializes in unique glazes that are made and applied by hand. You can check out their awesome process here.
One of our favorite things about Encore Ceramics is their dedication to the environment, a core value of many Seattleites.
Encore Ceramic's interest in sustainability informs their entire manufacturing process; they use responsibly sourced raw materials, recycle water and clay, and reducing CO2 by primarily using wind and solar energy. They have ensured that all clay, water, and glaze only leaves as a final product, creating no waste.

Tile Restoration Center focuses on reproducing vintage tiles. Their inspiration comes from the Arts & Crafts homes that are so prevalent in Seattle.
The highly-trained artisans at Tile Restoration carve the reliefs by hand, creating beautiful designs influenced by the early 20th century.
